After the initial response to the Big Love Suburban Red tap decals Boatrocker quickly ordered more – as well as the first run of the Suburban Pale tap decals pictured here.

The original 2 dimensional design work for the Boatrocker Big Love tap decals was provided by the Brewery.  It came directly from the illustrator who created the initial feel of the Big Love brand.

We then created a 3 dimensional representation from the provided design and illustration.

As well as working from established 2 dimensional designs, we also regularly create custom pieces from the initial concept development through to finished pieces.

The photos show parts of the sculpting and finishing process including the finished wax sculpt used to create the moulds for the final pieces.

These decals are finished with a combination of airbrushed and hand painted details using an automotive paint for strength and durability.

Boatrocker’s smart usage of the master branding for their Big Love range (only small sections of colour and text are swapped out for each beer in the range) means that the initial sculpt and moulds created for the Suburban Red tap decals were able to be used for all subsequent beers in the range without an additional setup cost.

The use of a Master Brand for the Big Love range ensures that their branding is consistent and sets them up to easily leverage the brand loyalty they have created with each additional release under the Big Love brand.
